Silvermist Dairy is located just eat of a small town named Casco. Overall, it's about it's about 30 miles east of Green Bay. It's probably not the nicest place in the world. But it has infinite memories and a load of charm.

My dad and mother purchased the farm in 1979, about 6 months before I was born. So I know nothing else of my father than to live and work on this farm.

Old, Old picture of the shop at the farm. This no longer exists, and a very large machine shed is in it's place. This shop was falling apart when my dad bought the place already, but it still was hard to see it go.

The twin towers. Two of my father's three silos can be seen in this picture. I've had to climb them more times then I can count, and matt and I actually shot clay pigeons off the top of this. A lot of real live pigeons claim residency here, and a lot of them have lost their lives on their exit.

A resident of Silvermist Dairy. This calf is about 4 weeks old. Within one year of this picture, it'll be producing milk and making money for the organization. A healthy diet and plenty of exercises with help this female grow into quite a profitable animal. Genetics is the most important factor though.

John Deere 4440 tractor. A nice vehicle, but on the old side. It's hooked up to a forage bagger. We unload wagons full of feed fresh from the fields, and let it ferment in this bag for a few weeks, then open it up and the cows get to enjoy our recipe. This is how you cook for almost 100 animals.
